Augmented reality device turns your arm into a keyboard

NEC Corp., a Japanese technology and networking solutions provider, will release new devices with augmented-reality features next year. Using glasses and smartwatches, the ARmKeypad is an augmented-reality keyboard worn on the forearm, the Wall Street Journal reported. The keyboard provides a view of keys and detects finger movements through glasses. The watch can detect the timing of keystrokes and change keyboard displays. NEC told to the Wall Street Journal that the keyboard operates through voice recognition and cannot be used in noisy environments. As a hands-free device, the ARmKeypad is suitable for warehouse managers and maintenance service workers as well as medical staff, who often use both hands during their work. The price of the device has not yet been set.
