Children's village in Balıkesir promises full entertainment

Established by the Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality, Children's Village features various entertainment complexes and has opened its doors to visitors. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mayor Ahmet Edip Uğur said 600 children can enjoy themselves at the facility. Offering insights about the Children's Village, Uğur said, "The village is intended for children between the ages of 2 and 18. The entertainment park features no electronics including computers. Everything has been designed for children. This is a new project for Turkey." The building was constructed last year and has 5,000 square meters of indoor space. Additionally, the space contains a blow-up building which is 17 meters high, 500 square meters of trampolines, 18 jumping castles and a tubby jump. The project costed the city TL 12 million ($4.17 million). The village is designed to allow children to have fun during the entire year. The facility also has activity areas for adults as well as children. The project intends to offer entertainment to parents as they watch their children play with their peers. "A facility for children's entertainment was lacking in Balıkesir until now," said Mayor Uğur. "Our citizens had to take their children to neighboring provinces. Now, we are happy to welcome people from neighboring provinces in our Children's Village."
