International yoga gurus gather on Mount Ida


The Yoga Academy and the International Yoga Federation will organize a yoga festival to bring hundreds of local and international yoga gurus together on Mount Ida, famous for high oxygen levels and life energy, located between the cities of Çanakkale and Balıkesir in northwestern Turkey. The festival is scheduled for Aug. 13 and 14 and will offer yoga lovers a weekend filled with yoga, health and sports.International Yoga Federation's Chairman Akif Manaf will hold yoga sessions, including four main chakra sessions, and touch upon physical and metaphysical aspects of personal improvement in an interactive panel session, "Answers to all Questions." The event will feature workshops about bioenergy, breathing, meditation and relaxing, and will include yoga choreography and yoga fever dance performances.The festival will start on Aug. 13 with a chakra workshop, followed by bioenergy and breathing sessions. The next day guests will join meditation sessions accompanied with chakra exercises. This year's festival will allow the practice of yoga with like-minded souls in one of the most beautiful settings including mountains, forest and sea. The workshops and panel sessions will be in Turkish, English and Spanish.
