Explore the sky at the Princes' Islands

A one-day observation festival will take place at Burgazada, the third largest of the Princes' Islands off the Marmara Sea late August. The "Look Up" astro-fest covers a program including observation sessions both day and night accompanied with music events and side activities.Participants will enjoy swimming in the island's refreshing waters, especially at the Kalpazankaya area with workshops on making water rocket promising entertaining moments. Experienced observers will hold sessions, sharing basic skills to amateur participants.Although Burgazada is less touristic than its other Princes' Island neighbors, it offers beaches and history while also giving the chance to gather with the locals in a peaceful atmosphere, away from the busy city life. The free event is open to the public. There are no vehicles on the island and the main mode of transport is bicycles or horse-drawn carriages.
