Mt. Everest set for spring cleaning

A team of Frenchmen and Nepalese is getting ready to climb to the top of the Everest to give the mountain a spring clean. On April 15, the team will gear up for one of the most challenging climbs in the world and clean the garbage along the path to the peak until May 15.Authorities believe that there are tons of garbage including plastic, metal, batteries, tents, ropes, oxygen tube and food leftovers on the way to the peak. All this garbage will be brought down to Nepal's city of Namche Bazar and part of it will be sent to India for recycling while the hazardous garbage will be taken back home by the Frenchmen.Organized by a French nongovernmental organization, the spring cleaning aims to eliminate the danger caused by the garbage on the Everest and criticize Nepal, which has a population of 30 million, for its lack of a garbage recycling facility.
