A 94-year-old in the U.S. was named the longest working staff member at McDonald's earlier this week. Loraine Maurer, who began working at the fast food chain in 1973, still continues to work behind the counter despite her age and has no intention of retiring."After all these years, she remains committed to serving her customers with one of the most delightful smiles around," said Chip and Katie Kenworthy, owners of the restaurant where Maurer currently works to members of the press"Loraine has a loyal following of customers and they look forward to having her take their orders when visiting McDonald's." Speaking during the celebration held for her anniversary, Maurer said she loves to communicate with customers and has never thought of becoming a manager."I come here every day at 5 a.m. when the restaurant is opened. I wake up at 3 a.m.," she added.
