Turkish champion challenges the world with '10 fingers'
Au015fku0131n, who works as a bailiff at a courthouse, first won the Turkish championship in 2007 on the F-keyboard, and has maintained his title for 10 years after winning five times in a row in the world championships.

Having won many championships both in Turkey and abroad, typist Celal Aşkın is now getting ready for a contest that will be held in Germany, where he hopes to win a medal

Celal Aşkın, a champion typist who has been rewarded for his speed in 10-finger typing on the Turkish F-keyboard with 14 Turkish and five world championships, wants to break his own record in the world championship to be held in Germany and return to his country with a medal.Aşkın, who learned to type on the F-keyboard at Gümüşhane Vocational High School of Justice in 2002 and later continued his achievements at the Istanbul University Vocational School of Justice, was educated by İhsan Sıtkı Yener, who is also known as the "Turkish national keyboard."Aşkın first won the Turkey championship in 2007 on the F-keyboard, and has maintained his leadership for 10 years after winning five times in a row in the world championships he participated in.Aşkın, who is working as a bailiff at Pazarcık Courthouse in Kahramanmaraş, told Anadolu Agency (AA) that he has received positive responses due to his speed on the keyboard. Noting that he has shared some of his videos on social media, Aşkın said: "I see some comments on social media, such as 'What have you been eating?' 'How do you write this?' 'I cannot read what you wrote, how did you get to that speed?' It is a nice thing to be the best in a branch that a person is trying as a hobby in both Turkey and the world and to be seen as an idol by others. Most importantly, we are setting a good example for future generations after we have achieved such successes. They have also been encouraged on the way we have paved. It's a nice feeling."The F-keyboard offers great convenience in terms of timeAşkın recalled that the F-keyboard was designed by İhsan Sıtkı Yener in 1957, after analyzing the roots of 30,000 words.Noting that Yener had created the F-keyboard system by separating the vowels and consonants and arranging the most commonly used letters on the keyboard to enable fingers to press in the most convenient way, Aşkın said that the most important issue in this keyboard system is fast typing, which makes it different than the Q-keyboard. Recalling that the Q-keyboard was designed in 1881 and the F-keyboard was designed in 1957, Aşkın stated that the Q-keyboard is solely designed to be written slowly while the F-keyboard is all about speed. "If we see the difference between the two, it turns out that the F-keyboard is completely scientific and speed-oriented," Aşkın added.Highlighting that the decision to use the F-keyboard in all public institutions with the Prime Ministry's notice, was a nice change, Aşkın said, "You can do a job that you have done on the Q-Keyboard by spending 20 percent less time on an F-Keyboard. An average user can do a job in one hour with Q keyboard, while it takes 20 minutes with F-keyboard."
