Young inventors to compete in robotics contest


Organized by the Ministry of National Education (MEB) for the 11th time, the International MEB Robotics Competition starts today in Konya. This year's competition takes the theme "Mevlana," an Islamic scholar who addressed humanity with his unique philosophy of love.

The competition prepares young minds for the new technology age and keeps up with the technological developments happening around the world. This year, the International Robotics Competition welcomes 3,240 students from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Panama, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Greece.

In the competition, which is supported by TÜBİTAK, 2,672 robots built by middle, high school and university students will compete. The competition will be broadcast live on robot.meb.gov.tr.
