Onur Erdoğan, 38, and İrfan Emek, 40, who set sail from Antalya for Istanbul on their canoe on April 1, have reached Adana's Kuşadası district.

Speaking to Anadolu Agency (AA), Erdoğan said that they have been paddling for more than 50 days. The canoeing duo aims to reach the Beşiktaş Pier in Istanbul.

"We will paddle through Özdere, Çeşme, İzmir and Çanakkale before reaching Istanbul. If the weather conditions are in our favor, we will be able to reach Istanbul in the first week of July," Erdoğan said.

He went on to say that they are having a difficult, but enjoyable trip, adding that they do not want this adventure to end.

"We are capturing images of the coasts of Turkey and publishing them on our website. We are sponsored by a German company so our followers can read about our journey both in Turkish and German. We are also broadcasting live from time to time."

The duo's online posts are quite popular and more than 6,000 people around the world have liked their photos on social media.
