Turkey invites its youth abroad to camp in Anatolia

Aimed at strengthening bonds with the motherland, Turkey is going to offer summer camping programs to young Turks living abroad.

Organized by Turkish Prime Ministry's Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), between June 29 and Sep. 30, the summer camps will welcome Turkish descendants between the ages of 18 and 22, at purpose-built facilities in Antalya, Bolu, Kırşehir, Trabzon, Tokat, and Kastamonu.

Each camp will hold a seven-day program, where the youth will have the opportunity to learn more about their historical and cultural heritage, while engaging in various sports and artistic activities, including archery, mountain climbing, canoeing, folk dancing, theater, and music.

Costs for the summer camps, including accommodation and food will all be covered by the YTB. Airfare of the participants will also be mostly sponsored by the organization.

June 9 has been set as the deadline for applications. For more details visit: www.ytb.gov.tr/genclikkamplari.
