Antalya's Manavgat to hold 3 international festivals

Antalya's Manavgat, which is famous for its namesake waterfall, is getting ready to host three separate festivals between June 29 and July 14. The tourist-attraction district will first host the 7th Manavgat Motorcycle Festival between June 29 and July 2, which will have South African motorcyclist Brian Capper, who claimed the World Champion title eight times.

Following this annual festival, the district will welcome locals and tourists at the Manavgat Culture Tourism and Youth Festival, which is expected to attract more than 100,000 participants from July 7-9, and the 16th Side World Music Culture and Art Festival, during which Fire of Anatolia and Antalya Symphony Orchestra will perform on July 12, 13 and 14. Throughout the festivals, renewed Turkish singers and artists will perform.

Speaking to the press, Manavgat Municipality Mayor Şükrü Sözen said their aim is to keep social and sport life in Manavgat alive throughout the year. "Manavgat is a lively town all through the year and we are hosting these festivals to bring more color to the town."
