Erciyes, which features Turkey's first mountain cycling park, is getting ready to host the International Erciyes Mountain Biking Cup between Aug. 11 and 13.

Erciyes hosted the first ever cycling race last year. This year, the tournament goes international and welcomes Turkish and international cyclists to the region. Organized by the International Cyclists Union and Turkish Cycling Federation, the tournament will have four different categories including cross-country elimination, cross-country Olympic, Down Hill Turkish Cup and UCI Downhill-C3.

Speaking to the press, Erciyes A.Ş. Chairman Murat Cahid Cıngı said they are initiating new projects to draw cycling enthusiasts to Erciyes. Stating that Erciyes has the first mountain biking parkour for both professional and amateur cyclists, Cıngı continued: "We are proud to host an international cycling festival with the one and only downhill cycling parkour in Turkey."
