Turks dream of Valentine's Day in Paris


A survey conducted by a Turkey-based e-commerce platform revealed that Turkish couples dream of spending Valentine's Day in Paris.

Receiving 5,720 votes, the online poll found that couples dream of a trip to Paris for Valentine's Day.

Fifty-nine percent of the men and 53 percent of women who participated preferred Paris. The French capital led the way with 56 percent of the votes, followed by London with 16 percent, Prague with 15 percent and Madrid with 13 percent.

The answers to "What surprise will make you happy on Valentine's Day?" revealed that women expect more gifts on the holiday. Sixty percent of men who took the survey chose the option, "It is enough to be remembered," as did 38 percent of the female respondents.

Forty-nine percent of respondents chose the option, "It is enough to be remembered," and 20 percent chose the option of a private holiday.

Eighteen percent want a nice present as a surprise, according to the survey, and 13 percent expect a romantic dinner on Valentine's Day.

According to the results of the survey, six out of 10 people said they like buying gifts for their significant other on Valentine's Day.
