Qatari PM congratulates new Turkish counterpart


Qatari Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani on Friday congratulated his newly-inaugurated Turkish counterpart, Ahmet Davutoglu. Sheikh Abdullah sent a congratulatory cable to Davutoglu on the occasion of the latter's assumption of the Turkish premiership, Qatar's official news agency reported.Earlier Friday, newly-elected Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan approved his country's new cabinet, which is headed up by Davutoglu, Turkey's presidential press office said in a statement."The president has approved Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu's formation of the 62nd government of the Republic of Turkey," read the statement.Davutoglu's cabinet includes four new names: Mevlut Cavusoglu as foreign minister; Volkan Bozkir as minister for E.U. affairs; and Yalcin Akdogan and Numan Kurtulmus, both of whom were appointed deputy prime ministers.
