An Iraqi member of parliament has claimed that Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) has kidnapped 3,000 women since June 2014. The group has been accused of targeting minority groups across northern Iraq and Syria, as well as abducting women and young girls. Rehab al-Abouda, head of the Iraqi Parliament's Committee for Woman, Family and Childhood said on Tuesday: "Statistics that we received show that the number of kidnapped women has reached 3,000? However there is no statistic about women who managed to escape ISIS because they do not register their names for social concerns."
