Turkmen TV crew caught in crossfire in Kirkuk, 1 killed


The television crew of a station which broadcasts in the local Turkmen language was caught in the crossfire between Daesh terrorists and Iraqi security forces on Friday.

The crew of Türkmeneli TV has been trying to cover the armed clashes since early Friday, when Daesh terrorists infiltrated Kirkuk and attacked government buildings.

The crew was attacked by sharpshooters near the governorate building and the station's news director, Turkmen journalist Ahmet Necmettin Haceroğlu, was killed.

The station's director Süheyik Kasım was also injured.
