With summer comes delightful performances, sophisticated dance parties, karaoke events accompanying Tamirane's summer menu in June



Located in Maslak district of Istanbul, Tamirane is designed as a new living space in town with the aim of repairing souls with art. Surrounded by the forest, the art venue Tamirane has a vivid summer program filled with concerts, dance nights and karaoke events throughout June.

INDIE SESSIONSThe concert series Indie Sessions, designed by Tamirane for those who want to avoid the rush of the city and relax with good music, will be hosting the best musicians in town on Saturdays throughout June.

MORNING JAZZ SESSIONS

Tamirane's new classic daytime concert series, which has an important place in making the concept of daytime jazz in Istanbul, Morning Jazz Sessions' June Program is full of virtuosic musicians. Listeners of all ages are welcome at Tamirane's comfortable and relaxing atmosphere each Sunday at 3:00 p.m.

JAZZ OPEN MIC

The only open jazz stage performance organized once a month, the Jazz Open Mic selects from among 200 of the best jazz songs and with the best jazz orchestra, giving karaoke lovers the chance to sing their hearts out.

DANCE SESSIONS

After Morning Jazz Sessions, Indie Sessions and Jazz Open Mic comes Dance Sessions. Carried out twice a month, these sophisticated dance parties to which many dance lovers attend let guests be free and happy.

LATIN & MORE DANCE PARTY

The most pleasant Latin dance meeting in town kicks off with Brazilian Helio Faria and the energy of percussion on June 7. The choreographers will teach the basic and main dance steps dance and people may enjoy the Latin rhythms or dance the whole night away with popular Latin pop songs.

FLAPPER SWING DANCE PARTYAt Tamirane once a month, Swing Istanbul Dance Party is welcoming swing's leading representative Flapper Swing for a live performance in Istanbul for the second time on June 9.

The Gypsy jazz band Flapper Swing, following in the steps of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grapelli, will be refashioning the atmosphere of the 1920s and 1930s with the best songs from the eras and Reinhardt's compositions.

The Swing Istanbul team will also kick start the party with a mini swing workshop for beginners between 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. Whether you dance or not, everyone will enjoy Jazz Age's Gatsby cocktails from Tamirane award nominated bar along with good music, dance and intimate fun.

SHAKE!

Five talented musicians who got together at the Music Department of Istanbul Bilgi University full of soul, R&B and funk will perform at Tamirane. Vocalist and percussionist Bidar Kalender, Özgün Tuncer on saxophone, Ahmetcan Gökçeer on electronic bass, Artum Çekem on guitars and Berke Köymen on drums will come to Tamirane for a night of fun on June 10.

Kaan Mete Quartet

Discovering Django Reinhardt's music in his 20s and since then playing Gypsy jazz, Kaan Mete's debut album "l'apres-midi" was released on Hot Club Records, which discovered masters of the Rosenberg Trio and Angelo Debarre. Kaan Mete on guitars will be accompanied by Ahmet Elmas on saxophone, Ozan Tunç on rhythm guitar, Aydın Balpınar on double bass on June 11.

Jazz open mic

Do you want to sing jazz? The mic is yours!

A breath of fresh air in the city's musical entertainment life, Jazz Open Mic invites attendees to sing their hearts out by selecting whatever they like from over 200 of the best jazz songs. Tamirane's unique stage is prepared to welcome all those who want to sing for the first time on stage with a great orchestra on June 16.

Rockfather​Rockfather is offering a night full of classic rock at Tamirane. Indie sessions' Rockfather night will offer the audience the chance to sing along to the most popular classic rock songs and dance all night with Rockfather on June 17.

Fulya Akça Trio

After a pleasant Sunday brunch, stop by Tamirane for a pleasant Sunday afternoon full of music with up-and-coming new jazz vocalist, Fulya Akça, accompanied by Kerem Türkaydın on guitars and Enver Muhamedi on double bass on June 18.

Jazzmatiz

Drawing attention with an innovative interpretation of classic jazz songs, Jazzmatiz will perform on the Tamirane stage on June 24. With a voice resembling that of Tom Waits, Mesut Ahmet Demir on guitar and vocals, Deniz Tanyeli on bass guitar, Zeynep Oktar on keyboard, Bora Tanyeli on saxophone and Mert Kazak on drums will create an ideal summer night full of music.

Manouche-u Âlâ

Manouche-u Âlâ is an acoustic, modern Gyspy jazz band inspired by Django Reinhardt's music. Along with standards, they also perform Turkish and popular foreign songs from the last three decades with vocalist Gizay Büyükdoğanay, Barış Ertürk on saxophone, Kaan Büyükdoğanay on guitar, Sinan Erbelger on double bass and Turgut Alp Bekoğlu on Sunday afternoon, June 25.
