Marcus Miller starts European tour from Istanbul


Marcus Miller, the legendary Grammy-winning musician, will perform in Istanbul on Oct. 21 at the 24th Istanbul Jazz Festival. Bass genius Miller will be on the stage at the Zorlu Performing Art Center (PSM) Main Theater together with talented young musicians, and he will perform songs from his new album within the festival, which is sponsored by the Istanbul Culture and Art Foundation (İKSV) and Garanti Bank.

Jazz doyen Marcus Miller, who is closely acquainted with Turkish jazz and Anatolian music, will start his European Tour from Turkey this year. Playing many instruments including the piano, the clarinet, the saxophone and the guitar, Miller will take the stage with a wide repertoire from jazz to Latin music, from afro beat to reggae.

The tickets for the Marcus Miller concert went on sale on Sept. 8. The early bird prices were determined as TL 150 ($43), 120, 100, 80 and 50, and the tickets for the downstage are TL 200.

The tickets can be bought from Biletix and from the main booking office at İKSV without any service charge between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. except Sunday. There will be discount tickets for students along with adult tickets in the concert.
