Eren Yahşi's first Istanbul performance promises superb Chopin-filled night

Pianist Eren Yahşi, one of Turkey's prolific young talents, will meet music lovers at Kadıköy Yeldeğirmeni Sanat on the night of Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 8 p.m. The piano recital, which promises pieces from Chopin - one of the most prominent composers of romantic-period music - will be the first concert of the young artist in Istanbul.

Working with Polka Music Production, the successful pianist will perform Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 3, as well as a selection of scherzos, nocturnes and polonaises - all considered Chopin's most innovative genres - at the recital. Tickets for the concert are on sale on Biletix for TL 20 ($3.50).

As an academic at Anadolu University State Conservatory, Yahşi, a piano arts major, made a name for himself with concerts abroad, including in the U.S., France, Poland, Azerbaijan and Austria. Attracting attention with his national and international success, Yahşi was presented with many awards like the Aspiration Special Prize at the 1st Olga Kern International Piano Competition in the U.S., the Arts Encouragement Prize from Eskişehir Anadolu University's directorate, third place at the first Performance Without Limits competition in Poland, the Finalist Award at the World Pianist Invitational competition in Washington and the grand prize at both the First Adnan Saygun Bodrum Piano Competition and Eskişehir's 2nd National Young Talents Piano Competition.
