Gökhan Aybulus, Nemeth Quartet perform at ENKA Auditorium
Nemeth Quartet

ENKA Culture Art's stage is hosting a special performance tonight that will bring Gökhan Aybulus, winner of Pianist of the Year at the 2017 Donizetti Classical Music Awards, and the Nemeth Quartet, which won the Chamber Music Ensemble of the Year award at the same award ceremony, together on the same stage.

The concert, organized as part of the 30th Musical Meetings of ENKA Culture Art, will be performed at ENKA Auditorium. At the performance, Gökhan Aybulus and the Nemeth Quartet will interpret the works of Sergei Rachmaninov - one of the greatest composers of Russian romanticism - and Antonin Dvorak, a composer from the late Czech romantic period.

Piano virtuoso Gökhan Aybulus, who was educated at Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, has won awards in many local and international competitions. During his four-concert solo tour organized by the Presidential Symphony Orchestra in China in 2012, Aybulus participated in concerts at a variety of festivals, including the International Carniola Music Festival in Slovenia, the Bruckner Music Festival Linz in Austria and the Bella Pais Music Festival in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

Comprised of Gülen Ege Serter on violin, Şeniz Aybulus on violin, Elana Ünaldı on viola and Mutlu Varlık Kocaili on cello, the Nemeth Quartet's name was chosen to honor the memories of Hungarian violinist Istvan Nemeth and cellist Katalin Nemeth, who lost their lives in a tragic traffic accident. The ensemble has been performing for classical music lovers in concerts at home and abroad since 2013.
