ANKARA — The exhibition of Human Rights Violations in North Korea, organized by Korea-Fans, a comprehensive website event's organizer to all things Korean, opened Saturday in Kizilay mall, Ankara.The opening ceremony was attended by the Embassy of the Republic of South Korea counselor Dong- Woo CHO, Turkish Konya Deputy Ayşe Türkmenoğlu and Turkish Korean War veteran Cengiz Türkoğul. Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Korean Cultural Consultant Hilmi Kesenek said, "The North Korea regime is oppressive and self-enclosed and is reportedly continuously committing human rights violations. We with this exhibition purposefully want to draw attention to these violations of human rights."Dong-Woo Cho and Türkmenoğlu added that human rights violations should not be allowed to drop off the world agenda and thanked organization members.The exhibition, which is on till April 14, displays a collection of arresting photographs about the violation of human rights in North Korea as well as paintings, sketches and manuscripts.
