Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu said Turkey will keep supporting people in need throughout the region, referring to those who come from Syria and Iraq to Turkey for shelter and safety. The PM said that it was a humanitarian cause and despite the risks and threats they will continue to aid those in need. Speaking to reporters at Esenboğa Airport on Thursday ahead of his official visit to Azerbaijan, PM Davutoğlu said that one of the main reasons of instability in Syria and Iraq is the ignorance of the international organizations of the world despite Turkey's warnings."Our aim is to carry help to people at the borders fleeing to Turkey from the ISIS threat, no matter what religion, race or sect they are. We are taking necessary steps to protect security at our borders and instructions have been given to our governorates in the region," he said.Davutoğlu also informed reporters on his visit to Azerbaijan about bilateral relations and regional and international developments with Azerbaijani officials. The PM will attend a groundbreaking ceremony for the the Trans Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP), a pipeline that will transport gas from Azerbaijan's Shah Deniz field to Europe through Turkey.
