Turkey's main opposition, the secular Republican People's Party (CHP), has allocated a room in its headquarters as a prayer room, in line with demands from the party members.

The project to open the room was run by the party's Vice President Mehmet Bekaroğlu.

The prayer room has been endowed with all the necessary religious facilities, including a sign indicating that the room is allocated for praying.
