Russian President Vladimir Putin to visit Turkey in Dec.


Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay a visit in Turkey on December 1 to attend the Turkish-Russian High-Level Cooperation Council meeting.According to Turkey's presidential press office, the council was founded in May 2010 as part of an intergovernmental cooperation mechanism.It lay the foundation of a strategic partnership between Russia and Turkey.The council will hold its fifth meeting in Turkey's capital, Ankara. During the meeting, bilateral relations as well as regional and international issues are expected to be discussed, the press office said.One of the council's aims is to increase the trade volume between the two countries to $100 billion by 2020.Putin is also scheduled to meet President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during his visit.
