Former Justice Minister Bekir Bozdağ has underlined that no concessions will be made regarding the Gülen Movement and that the state, which has recognized the movement as a threat against national security, will continue to lawfully fight against them. Speaking about the results of the June 7 General Elections, where the AK Party received the highest amount votes but failed to secure a majority at the parliament, Bozdağ said that the current picture will not disrupt the fight against the [parallel] structure and underscored that the issue was now a matter handled by the state. "The fight against the Gülen Movement is not AK Party's struggle, it is the state's struggle" Bozdağ said, adding that the bureaucracy and judiciary are fulfilling their duties under the scope of the constitution and the laws, to fight against the unlawful structure. He underscored that they will continue to work in the same manner and there will be no changes regarding this issue as investigations continue to proceed. The former justice minister added that the Gülen Movement had unlawfully recorded confidential meetings of the state, wiretapped encrypted phones and published these on social media outlets, and had infiltrated top state institutions. The Gülen Movement is a transnational movement led by the U.S.-based Fethullah Gülen. It is accused of wiretapping thousands of people, including government officials and encrypted phones. It has over 140 private schools around the world including in the U.S., Europe, Asia and Africa.
