President Erdoğan strongly condemns attacks in Kuwait, Tunisia

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has condemned the terrorist attacks that killed more than 52 people on Friday in a written statement published in the presidency website on Friday.The statement said the nefarious attacks on a Shiite mosque in Kuwait and on an hotel in the Tunisian coastal city of Sousse have given Turkish people deep sorrow.The statement added that targeting the peace and stability of Kuwait and Tunisia and aiming to raise sectarian violence in Kuwait, these attacks have clearly revealed the importance of international and regional cooperation in counter terrorism. It has also shown that the attackers regard the sacred values as completely unimportant by carrying out the heinous attacks during holy month of Ramadan."As a country that stands against every type of terrorism, Turkey shares sorrow of our Kuwaiti and Tunisian brothers. We would like to emphasize that we are in complete solidarity with them in counter terrorism," the statement said.It concluded by wishing the wounded a quick recovery and offering condolences to the 'brother countries', Kuwait and Tunisia.
