Turkey's new caretaker government held its first meeting on Tuesday to prepare to rule until snap polls in November.Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu formed the so-called "election cabinet" after President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan called the polls following inconclusive polls on June 7.The ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) failed to win a majority for the first time since it came to power in 2002 but was also unable to form a coalition with the opposition.The cabinet met at the Çankaya Palace in Ankara after visiting the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. Before going to Çankaya Palace, PM Davutoğlu and Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) deputy Tuğrul Türkeş visited the mausoleum of the MHP's founder, Alparslan Türkeş (Tuğrul Türkeş's father) in Beşevler district. The two leaders prayed at the graveside of Alparslan Türkeş and talked for a while, before leaving for Çankaya Palace.
