Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu will address the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe's (PACE) spring session on April 19 in Strasbourg.

Turkey's humanitarian efforts for Syrian refuges, the recent Turkey-EU refugee deal and Turkey's reform process to meet EU and Council of Europe norms and regulations are among the subjects that Davutoğlu is expected to address in his speech at the PACE. Prior to Davutoğlu, then Prime Minister Erdoğan addressed PACE in 2011.

After his address, Davutoğlu will answer questions from PACE members from the 47 member states. The Austrian President Heinz Fischer, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili are the other leaders that will address the PACE session.

Elsewhere, debates on the refugee and migrant crisis in Europe are stressing a stronger European response to the Syrian refugee crisis, the human rights of refugees and migrants in the Western Balkans and the new challenge posed by forced migration, which will be a major topic in PACE's spring session.

PACE is the legislative body of the Council of Europe and represents 47 member states.
