Three million government workers’ leaves suspended, traveling abroad restricted

Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım ordered on Monday the suspension of all leaves for government workers amid the failed Gülenist coup attempt over the weekend.

The order came after nearly 10,000 civil servants were suspended from duty, with some having arrest warrants issued against them, for alleged links to the Gülenist terror organization (FETÖ).

Nearly three million government workers' leaves were lifted until further notice, while those already on leave were called back to duty as soon as possible.Meanwhile, civil servants have also been restricted from traveling abroad, except those who carry Green and Grey colored passports, used by leveraged workers with special permissions, under condition that they bring a letter of permission from the office they work for.
