Former head of CHP's women's branch says will vote ‘yes'

Denİz Pınar Atılgan, the former head of the Republican People's Party's (CHP) women's branch, revealed that she will vote "yes" in the upcoming referendum for the sake of Turkey's future.

"I'm saying ‘yes' because of the current conjuncture of the country. This is my personal opinion. I'm a judicious, careful person and I believe there are many CHP supporters like me," she said to reporters, while indicating that the "yes" vote is a necessity for the future of Turkey.

She also stated that the CHP, in which she has been politically active since 1970, has strayed away from the way of Kemal Atatürk.

"Atatürk reorganized our people to struggle with invading powers when there were both external and internal threats. During such an era, we should also stand with our president, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and support him," she added.
