A group of suspected PKK terrorist sympathizers opened fire on the offices of a Turkish organization in Belgium's Genk city early Monday morning.

Speaking to Anadolu Agency, Ömer Zararsız, the head of the Belgian Turkish Federation, said it had been confirmed that four gunshots were fired at the premises.

No injuries were reported.

The organization in question was identified as the Turkish Cultural Association, and witnesses noted that the attack took place around 5 a.m. on Monday.

The head of the association Cengiz Açık told Ihlas News Agency that the Turkish community in Belgium is extremely concerned about latest developments.

"We immediately informed the police regarding the attack and told Mayor Wiem Dries about the incident" Açık said, adding that they expect Belgian authorities to find perpetrators as soon as possible.

Genk police said they would not comment while their investigation was ongoing.PKK supporters attacked a Turkish neighborhood on Oct. 27, injuring at least eight people.The terrorist organization also targets Turkish neighborhoods and cafes in other parts of Europe, including Germany.
