Speaking at a joint news conference with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha in Kyiv on Thursday, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan expressed concerns on the state of Russia-Ukraine conflict. He warned that the diplomacy was lagging while the conflict escalated.

He said Türkiye would continue its political and military support to Ukraine.

Fidan also called sides to ensure maritime security at Black Sea and suggested that a moratorium can be declared on attacks across the sea, to that extent.

Answering a question, Fidan said Russia was also ready for negotiations with Ukraine as he observed in his recent visit to Russia.
