The building construction cost index increased by 2.1 percent in the second quarter of the year compared with the previous quarter, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) on Thursday. The index rose 6.4 percent compared to the same quarter of the previous year and by 8 percent compared with the four-quarter average in the second quarter of 2015. The labor index was up 1.4 in the second quarter compared to the previous one while the material index was up 2.4 percent.
