House sales increased 6.5 percent in August compared to the same month of the previous year, and 112,463 were sold within the month. Iraqis bought 401 houses in Turkey in August, which was followed by Saudis with 271 house sales, Kuwaitis with 226 house sales, Russians with 155 house sales, and Britons with 86 house sales.Mortgaged house sales throughout Turkey increased 1.9 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, totaling 36,021. House sales with a mortgage took a 32 percent share of all house sales in Turkey. First house sales in Turkey increased 9 percent to total 53,218 during the same time period, while second house sales in Turkey increased 4.3 percent to total 59,245. First house sales took a 47.3 percent share of all house sales in Turkey.
