‘Goodness Meals' to be established across Turkey


The Presidency of Religious (DİB) Affairs General Directorate of Religious Services will host iftar programs under the title "Goodness Tables" with the provincial muftis of the 81 provinces and muftis of 957 districts in order to help people experience a Ramadan full of goodness and bring people from every segment of society together at the same dinner table.

The DİB plans to host detainees and prisoners, young people who have been able to get rid of their addictions and are still under treatment, miners and families of miners who lost their lives in mining accidents as well as Syrian refugees in Turkey at the same iftar tables.

Groups that will be hosted during the iftar programs taking place as a part of the Goodness Tables are detainees and prisoners, the elderly living in rest homes, representatives of establishments that provide care for the handicapped, families of deceased soldiers and veterans, Syrian and other refugees, members of other religions and institutions of other religions, seasonal agricultural laborer, miners and families of miners who lost their lives in accidents, Roma, women from shelters, young people who have recovered from addictions and those who are still receiving medical care at AMATEM, youngsters that are attending youth centers affiliated with the Youth and Sports Ministry, rehabilitation centers that offer their services to young people, orphanages and dormitories.
