After the completion of the pool stages Monday, the 2017 women's EuroVolley is set to continue with the playoffs to find Europe's top eight teams.

Pool winners Azerbaijan, Italy, Russia, and Serbia all lived up to the expectations and are waiting to find out the name of their next opponents. They will resume their quest for gold in the quarterfinals.

With eight more teams still alive in the competition, the pool runners-up (Poland, Belarus, Bulgaria and the Netherlands) and the third-placed teams (Germany, Croatia, Turkey and the Czech Republic) will now battle in the playoffs for the remaining spots in the quarterfinals.

In the last pool stages match, Turkey sent Ukraine home with a 3-1 (25-20, 25-19, 20-25, 25-23) victory.

With their first win in the tournament, Turkey picked up the third place in their pool. Tomorrow's playoffs will feature a clash between Poland and Turkey with the eventual winner challenging Russia Friday. Meanwhile, Bulgaria and Germany will lock horns to book a place in the last eight to face Azerbaijan.
