Turkish Paralympic swimmer bags gold in World Series in US


European champion Paralympic swimmer Sümeyye Boyacı on Monday won a gold medal in the Para Swimming World Series in the U.S.

Boyacı won the gold in the 50-meter backstroke with a 45.28 finish, said a statement by the Turkish Sports Federation for the Physically Disabled.

Some 160 athletes from 19 countries took part in the competition, which took place in Indianapolis, Indiana.
