The 2026-27 Turkish Süper Lig summer transfer window closed Friday after 75 days of activity, with newly promoted Çorum FK making more signings than any other club as teams across the division reshaped their squads for the new season.
The first transfer and registration period ran from June 22 through Sept. 4, with the 18 Süper Lig clubs registering a combined 202 new players. Of those arrivals, 123 came from foreign clubs or leagues, while 79 moved between Turkish clubs.
The winter transfer window will run from Jan. 1 through Feb. 5, 2027.
Çorum FK led the league with 21 incoming players as the newly promoted club undertook a major squad overhaul. Amed Sportif Faaliyetler followed with 18 additions, while Eyüpspor made 15 and Gaziantep FK 14.
Kasımpaşa and Kocaelispor each made 13 signings, while Erzurumspor FK and Trabzonspor brought in 12 players apiece. Gençlerbirliği made 11 additions.
Beşiktaş, Çaykur Rizespor, Konyaspor and Samsunspor each registered 10 new players, followed by Göztepe with nine, Alanyaspor with eight and Başakşehir with six.
The two Istanbul giants made the fewest additions among the 18 clubs, with both Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe bringing in five players.
Çorum FK leads the spending-free-for-all
Çorum FK's 21 additions reflected the scale of the club's rebuilding project after promotion to the top flight.
The newcomers included experienced Turkish internationals such as Cengiz Ünder, Çağlar Söyüncü and Berat Özdemir, alongside foreign players including Mohamed Diomande, Youssoufa Moukoko, Alexandre Penetra, Hrvoje Smolčić, Ylber Ramadani and Marcos Felipe.
The club also brought in players through a combination of permanent transfers, loans and free-agent deals as it attempted to assemble a squad capable of competing in the Süper Lig.
Çorum were equally active in the opposite direction, with more than 20 players leaving the club during the window. The turnover underlined the scale of the challenge facing the promoted side as it adjusted to the demands of top-flight football.
Amed Sportif Faaliyetler were nearly as aggressive, making 18 additions as they also strengthened after promotion. Their recruitment included Alban Lafont, Gift Orban, Rayan Raveloson, Lumbardh Dellova, Furkan Soyalp, Umut Meraş and Ali Turap Bülbül.
Big clubs favor quality over quantity
While the league's newly promoted and mid-table clubs drove the transfer volume, the traditional powers largely took a more selective approach.
Galatasaray made five additions but made headlines with its pursuit of elite-level talent. The defending champions signed Portugal international Rafael Leão from AC Milan in a deal reported at about 38 million euros.
Aleksey Batrakov, Deniz Gül, Lesley Ugochukwu and El Chadaille Bitshiabu completed Galatasaray's incoming business, with Ugochukwu and Bitshiabu arriving on loan.
The club also underwent significant departures, including Mauro Icardi, who left after his contract expired, while several other players were transferred or loaned out.
Fenerbahçe also made five major additions, signing Mason Greenwood, Romelu Lukaku, Nathan Aké, Vedat Muriqi and Kojo Peprah Oppong.
Greenwood arrived from Marseille for a reported 39 million euros, while Muriqi returned to Fenerbahçe six years after leaving the club. The Istanbul side also completed the sale of Sidiki Cherif to Coventry City for a reported 24.5 million euros after initially acquiring the young forward during the previous winter window.
Fenerbahçe's summer business therefore focused heavily on established international names rather than building a large squad through numerous additions.
Beşiktaş make 10 additions
Beşiktaş were more active in terms of numbers, registering 10 new players.
The Istanbul club brought in Arsenal winger Leandro Trossard, with the transfer reported at around 18 million euros, as well as Juventus midfielder Fabio Miretti and striker Dušan Vlahović.
The Black Eagles also added Salih Özcan, Alexander Nübel, Doğan Alemdar, Kassoum Ouattara, Ümit Akdağ, İlhan Fakılı and Ernest Poku.
Beşiktaş began the season under new coach Vincenzo Italiano and used the window to strengthen several positions, particularly in attack and goalkeeping.
Trabzonspor make high-profile moves
Trabzonspor completed 12 signings, combining experienced players with younger talent as the Black Sea club sought to improve its squad.
Among the arrivals were Mohamed Salah, Fabinho, Ruslan Malinovskyi, Ernest Muçi, Franculino, Aral Şimşir, Noah Saviolo, Sidny Lopes Cabral, Cenk Özkacar, Melih Kabasakal, Samet Akaydin and Ali Habeşoğlu.
Trabzonspor also made the permanent signing of Muçi after he had previously played for the club on loan.
The club's departures included several established names, with Edin Visca, John Lundstram and Anthony Nwakaeme among those leaving.
A busy market beyond the traditional powers
The transfer activity was not limited to the league's biggest clubs.
Eyüpspor made 15 additions, including Abdelhamid Sabiri, Jawad El Yamiq, Konrad Michalak and goalkeeper Horatiu Moldovan on loan.
Gaziantep FK added 14 players, including Serdar Dursun, Kerim Çalhanoğlu, Abakar Sylla and Halil Dervişoğlu on loan.
Kasımpaşa brought in 13 players, including Adrian Benedyczak, Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, Güven Yalçın and Ömer Bayram.
Kocaelispor, another newly promoted club, also made 13 additions, including Berkan Kutlu, Matej Maglica, Makana Baku and several players on loan.
Erzurumspor FK added 12 players, with Gyrano Kerk, Elisha Owusu, Nihad Mujakic and Festy Ebosele among the newcomers.
Gençlerbirliği, returning to the Süper Lig, registered 11 new players, including Sekou Koita, Salih Uçan, İrfan Can Eğribayat and several loan signings.
The overall figures highlight the increasingly international character of the Süper Lig.
Foreign arrivals accounted for more than half of the 202 new registrations, while domestic transfers represented just under 40%.
