Türkiye finished runner-up at the Women’s Volleyball World Championship on Sunday, falling 3-2 to Italy in a tense five-set final.

Italy took the title with set scores of 25-23, 13-25, 26-24, 19-25, 15-8.

The silver is Türkiye’s best-ever finish at a World Championship, surpassing their fourth-place showing in 2010.
