After fierce clashes which started on Saturday with the PKK-affiliated PYD's armed wing the People's Protection Units (YPG) militants in Syria, Daesh has reportedly withdrawn its militants from Tal Abyad and the nearby town of Suluk in northern Syria.The terrorist organization broke the siege after U.S.-led anti-Daesh coalition airstrikes on terrorist targets and YPG militants who had gained control of several villages in the town, leaving many Daesh militants and seven civilians dead in its wake.In response to the recent clashes, Russia's Defense Ministry claimed on Sunday that its coordination center in Syria previously received information about the attack in Tal Abyad from Turkish territory using large-caliber artillery, according to a report by the Interfax news agency.However, that same day, Turkish military sources denied the allegations, saying that Russia's claim is false. Speaking to Hürriyet daily, sources indicated that any artillery shooting targeting YPG or Daesh was not conducted by the Turkish military, adding that two Daesh militants were also recently captured on the Turkish-Syrian border.
