Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Facebook, has made mind blowing predictions about the future of technology in a Question & Answer which he hosted on his Facebook page. Sending thoughts to another personZuckerberg explained how he believes we will communicate in the not too distant future. He said that after the eras of text messages, emojis, video clips and virtual reality (VR), people will reach the highest level of communication: sharing thoughts directly with each other. "One day, I believe we'll be able to send full rich thoughts to each other using technology," he said "You'll just be able to think of something and your friends will immediately be able to experience it, too." Artificial IntelligenceZuckerberg said in one of his answers that the main focus of AI research is to understand the meaning of what people share. If artificial intelligence understands what a post or a photo is about, it could direct a user to related content or people with related interests."In order to do this really well, our goal is to build AI systems that are better than humans at our primary senses: vision, listening, etc.," he said.Zuckerberg said that they are building "systems to recognize everything that's in an image or a video," including people, objects and scenes. To overcome language obstacles, they are focusing on "translating speech to text, text between any languages, and also being able to answer any natural language question you ask."Global Internet connectionOne of Zuckerberg's aims is to make internet globally available. When asked what he would take with him to a remote island where no Wi-Fi connection is available Zuckerberg replied "That depends.
