Held for the first time in 2012, the Crystal Pixel Video Game Awards continue to celebrate domestic video game production. The Crystal Pixel Awards, which accept applications for video games of every scale, will take place at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University's Fındıklı campus, as part of the Eurasia Graphics 2015 event on Nov. 20. The award will shed light on domestic video games and the importance that should be placed on domestic video game development once again. The video game industry, which is among the most valuable industries with $110 billion in total global market share, continues its fast growth every year. The original ideas that game developers produce in regions where video game development is encouraged contribute to a country's economic development. Video game development activities as well as the number of developers have gained momentum in Turkey. Placing great importance on the development of original productions, Crystal Pixel is held to make the names of game developers and games known and appreciated. The awards ceremony, which is enriched every year with the participation of original productions and celebrates the game development ecosystem, invites all followers of the gaming industry to be part of this celebration. For the first time in its history, the Crystal Pixel Video Game Awards will be presented in Istanbul. The increasing number of game developers and the national and international success stories of game developers support the founding idea of Crystal Pixel. The games that will be nominated for the award will be chosen from among the submitted electronic applications. As always, Crystal Pixel awaits the original gaming ideas and apps of Turkish game developers that will be made online via Crystal Pixel's official website. The nominees will be presented to the jury, which is composed of prominent figures in the gaming industry. After the assessment process, which will take place in light of certain criteria, the winners of several categories will be announced. Co-organized by Middle East Technical University GATE, the Digital Game Developers Association and Middle East Technical University TEKNOKENT ATOM, the Crystal Pixel Video Game Awards invite video game developers to apply to Crystal Pixel to display their original ideas and highlight the importance of interaction and sharing.
