The Raspberry Pi Zero has just been released as the cheapest fully functioning computer, at a cheaper price than lunch.The U.K. based charity Raspberry Pi Foundation has put a $5 price tag on its newest gadget aimed at getting more children interested in programming and giving them a chance.Eben Upton, the founder of the Raspberry Pi Foundation said in a video that they pulled the price down as much as possible and said, "We really hope that's going to get the last few people in the door and involved in computer programming."The Raspberry Pi Zero operates with a 1GHz ARM11 processor, which is 40% faster than its predecessor Raspberry Pi1, and has 512 megabytes of LPDDR2 RAM.It also has a micro-SD slot for storage and runs on Linux optimized for the Raspberry. The device is smaller than the half the size of a five dollar bill, but needs additional components to run such as a micro-SD card, a keyboard and mouse and a screen.
