First broadcast from Turksat 4B satellite on Dec 11

"Satellite, Space and Technology Days," powered by TÜRKSAT, is an event organized by the Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (MÜSİAD) and will take place at Istanbul's Haliç Congress Center from Dec. 11-12. The event will be inaugurated by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Minister Binali Yıldırım and Science, Industry and Technology Minister, Fikri Işık.

The first broadcasting from the TÜRKSAT 4B Satellite will be actualized during the inauguration where the latest images from the construction of Istanbul's third Bosporus bridge, third airport and the İzmit Bay Bridge will be streamed via 4K teleconference. Also, the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) Satellite Test Center in Ankara will participate in the live broadcast. The TÜRKSAT 4B satellite is one of the most important projects of the Transportation, Maritime Affairs and Communications Ministry.

Both domestic and international visitors will attend the event which aims to address the issues of creating a $1-billion network of national satellites, providing local content support to 4.5G and 5G technologies and turning the e-devlet online service into a regional brand. The event is expected to mark an "opening kick-off" for the Transportation, Maritime Affairs and Communications Ministry which is hoping to undertake enormous projects in the near future.
