Tourism forum to unite sector leaders in Antalya


The second World Tourism Forum will bring together 25 speakers and 750 participants, including the leading figures of world tourism, from 25 countries, within the scope of 12 different programs. This year, the forum is being held in Belek, Antalya, at the Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort on Dec. 10.

Antalya Mayor Menderes Türel, Başaran Ulusoy, the president of Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TURSAB), Khalid Hamad A.A Al-Sulaıtı, the consul general of The State of Qatar in Istanbul, and World Tourism Forum President Bulut Bağcı will attend the opening ceremony of the World Tourism Forum Mediterranean Summit, which will focus on world tourism and how to shape the of future tourism.

The panels, which will be moderated by BBC World News' famous anchor and reporter Kasia Madera, will serve as a platform to discuss topics such as border security, tourism's use in various platforms, rising trends in destination weddings, new opportunities in payment systems for the travel industry, changing perceptions in resort tourism, new perspectives and approaches to European markets, technological solutions in the tourism industry, contributions of major sporting events and meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) in the destinations.

Following the presentation of the appreciation plaques to the attendants, famous Turkish pop singer Bengü will take the stage on the opening night of the World Tourism Forum on Dec. 10.
