Istanbul is getting ‘fleas'!

Every Saturday Ataköy's Airport Outlet Center hosts a flea market in Istanbul. Antique lovers come from all over Turkey to meet every weekend at this open market.

Opened three years ago, the Airport Outlet Center has over the past two months become the place for collectors and antique lovers to converge every Saturday at the flea market which is held open air parking lot.

THEY HAVE EVERYTHING!
The market is decorated with specially designed tents and coverings and as the saying goes, whatever you want, they have got it!

From prayer beads to medals to 150 year-old postcards made out of copper from old stones, records to radios, tens of thousands of antiques beckon visitors weekly.

Antique lovers come from Bursa, Trabzon and all over Turkey to breathe in the very early morning air at the flea market. Antique objects are also put up for auction starting at one lira. Antique lovers end up determining the price items go for with the numbers they list on their price cards they lift up.

Airport Outlet Center General Manager Burçin Bendegül is also a big collector and went around to famous locales that sell copper and antiques to explain the flea market project and shares how pleasing it was to receive such interest.
