İDO issues a 130 percent rate hike
Istanbul’s Sea Bus Operators (İDO) has issued a new price tariff for the Sirkeci–Harem car ferry line.
SUV drivers, which previously purchased tickets for 6.5 TL to board a car ferry, will now be facing a 130 percent price hike as according to the new tariff; tickets are going to cost 15 TL.
Tickets for automobiles will increase from 6.5 liras to 8.5 liras and for motorcycles, ticket prices will increase from 3.5 liras to 4.5 liras.
For trucks less than 2,500 kilos, tickets will be 12 TL, for midibuses over 2,500 kilograms tickets will cost 15 TL and for trucks heavier than 2,500 kilograms will cost 20 TL.
NO PRICE HIKE FOR PASSENGERS
According to a written announcement by İDO, the price changes will go into effect for the services from Harem which depart every day excluding Sunday between 07:00-10:00 and for services departing Sirkeci between 16:00-21:00. The ticket price for passengers has remained the same.
