With temperatures still in the 30's vacationers continue to fill the coast of Kızkalesi. Tourists are flocking to the popular tourist destination, most famously known for the ancient castle of the same name located on a small island facing the shore. Coming out from Adana, Mersin and other surrounding districts, visitors are enjoying swimming in the blue waters of the Mediterranean and lying in the sun along the picturesque coast.

Kızkalesi Tourism Association Member Mehmet Şirin Öztop says that although the winter season is approaching in most locations throughout Turkey, the town of Kızkalesi continues to enjoy the days of summer.

Öztop, "When the weather is nice, everyone flocks to spend the weekend in Kızkalesi. In addition to day tripping national visitors, German tourists are also frequenting the town often, sunbathing and swimming in the sea. It's possible to vacation 365 days of the year in Kızkalesi."
