Commander in Chief Gül performs prayer ceremony with soldiers

President Abdullah Gül participated in the prayer ceremony to usher in the Eid al-Adha, also known as the Feast of Sacrifice, at the Presidential Guard Regiment Süngülü Mosque.

President Gül also released a message for the Feast of Sacrifice via Twitter. Gül warned citizens planning to travel during the holiday to be careful and to abide by traffic regulations. In his holiday message, Gül states the following:

"With my best wishes, I want to congratulate everyone on this Feast of Sacrifice. This year I conducted the holiday prayer alongside the Regiment of the Presidential Guard. I also want to congratulate those soldiers on duty in difficult conditions as well as all of our security forces that make great sacrifices to ensure our safety. Once again, I want to remind those traveling to follow regulations in order to ensure these holidays do not turn into painful ones."
