Putin's upcoming trip to Turkey confirmed

Russian President Vladimir Putin will be arriving to Istanbul on December 3rd, accompanied by a series of ministers for a visit during which he will meet one on one with Prime Minister Tayyip Erdoğan.



Held at the prime ministry office at Istanbul's Dolmabahçe Palace, during the critical meeting Erdoğan and Putin will be discussing the situation in Syria as well as other regional issues.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will also be joining Putin, who is expected to share a working lunch with Erdoğan.

Cabinet members from both nations will be attending a High-Level Cooperation Council to be chaired by Erdoğan and Putin. During his stay in Turkey, President Putin will also be meeting with his Turkish counterpart President Abdullah Gül.
